The Taste of the Tantramar is a 5 course small plate event paired with New Brunswick spirits and beer (the cost of the alcohol is not included in the price however).  All the curated small plates will be from our local chefs and restaurant, with primarily locally sourced ingredients. We will be celebrating the abundance of Sackville and area!

Chef Kim Martin & Cranewood present our small plates:

Smoked Haddock & Bacon Chowder

Grilled Potatoes & Peas with Dill Sour Cream

Surf & Turf - Lobster on Grilled Steak with Bearnaise Sauce

Grilled Chicken with Blueberry BBQ Sauce and Roasted Beet Salad

Dessert to be announced soon....surprise!

We will be serving New Brunswick beer and spirits including Bagtown Brewery (Sackville) and SCOW cider (Memramcook)

As the doors open to our main tent enjoy the sounds of Wee Pipers, a Scottish small pipe session on the floor! During the small plate service you will be entertained by the award winning  LeBlanc Family from Bathurst with their celebrated Acadian traditional music and step dance. We also welcome the pride of Pictou Nova Scotia, Juno nominated and multi East Coast Music and Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Dave Gunning. Also joining us is Elder Chris Sanipass from Mi'kmaq Art Experience for knowledge sharing from the New Brunswick community of Indian Island. This is a limited seated event and for 19 years and older; tickets are sold in groups of 4 due to COVID restrictions. There will be a bar service on site as well.

The menu is gluten free except the dessert but the items are prepared in a venue that is not gluten free. If you have life threatening allergies to nuts, eggs, shellfish or any other food component we can not guarantee your safety and this event is probably not ideal for you. As this is a tasting celebrating all aspects of our farming community and in a very limited pop up kitchen on site,  we are not able to provide a vegan or vegetarian alternative menu.

After WWII the dance hall craze flooded the Maritimes and Sackville was home to The Fawcett Dance Hall right where the parking lot to the boat ramp is now at Lillas Fawcett Park. Old Time fiddle was everywhere and Sackville was known for it's talent. We want to celebrate this, by hosting a tent to commemorate the place people would gather and welcome back Ivan Hicks who would play that very dance hall at age 9, under the instruction of his father, the late Curtis Hicks. Join us under the tent with Ivan & Vivian Hicks, Third Harmony and The East Pointers. This is a 19+ event with a bar onsite and limited seated capacity due to COVID. Tickets are sold in groups of 4 only to accommodate distancing.

$25 ( all inclusive - bar drinks not included)

7:00 PM - Doors

7:30 PM - Ivan & Vivian Hicks

8:30 PM - Third Harmony

9:30 PM - The East Pointers

11:00 PM - Good bye!
